Acts 16:1-5 | Paul Meets Timothy | Pastor Mark Kirk

Where we left off last time Paul and Barnabas had had their falling out over John Mark and his readiness for ministry. Today we will see God’s replacement for John Mark in giving Paul a helper in a young man by the name of Timothy. Who will turn out to be not only a huge help to Paul but who Paul will later call a “son in the faith.”

How wonderful to have those sons and daughters in the faith that we have invested in who carry on the ministry with the same heart and mission that we have. This is where discipleship comes in.

While we have a very structured discipleship ministry here at Calvary, ALL of us are called to invest in younger believers in our lives to train up the next generation. I encourage you if you are not doing that to pray for God to give you someone to invest in.
