Jesus’ Mission to the Gentiles

We typically don’t think of Jesus' ministry as a ministry to the gentiles because we see Jesus say in verse 24 that He was not sent “except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Yet we will also see that this time of Jesus' ministry He specifically focuses on reaching and ministering to the “gentiles.” While Jesus' first and foremost ministry as a man was first to the Jews to fulfill God’s promises to Abraham. The Scripture is very clear that after that Jesus would reach out to gentiles. Although God has been saving gentiles throughout history, it has always come second to the Jewish people due to His promise.
