Take Up Your Cross and Follow

While we all know the phrase "take up your cross and follow" as Christians, it doesn't fully sinks in in our day because of the terminology. Certainly we know Jesus died on a cross, but since we don’t have crucifixion today it doesn’t make as big as an impact. Even the death penalty doesn’t make as much of an impact today because the cross was not “just” death…It was excruciatingly, horrific, painful, slow, and humiliating death. We just don’t have a picture of this in our culture today. Pastor Mark gives us the correct picture and application for our lives today.
